Connie, Office Manager
As Office Manager, Connie has been the heart of Drs. John and David’s practice for over 32 years. She strives to make sure every patient is warmly welcomed and treated like family. She truly enjoys all the patients she has met over the years. If you have questions about your insurance or any aspect of your visit, Connie is your point woman. She lives in Louisville and is the proud mother of a son and a daughter and most recently grandmother to her first grandchild. She enjoys doing activities with her husband, Phil and traveling to visit her son, Cody, daughter-in-law, Carolyn and Granddaughter, Berkley in SC and her daughter, Brittany in Atlanta. She enjoys hiking, biking and trip to the beach.
Favorite saying is: “Life is better at the beach.”
Sheree, Patient Care Coordinator
Sheree is our Patient Care Coordinator and joined the team in 2013. She moved here 10 years ago and is enjoying Louisville and all it has to offer. “I love working in an office where patients are seen as family.” In her roll she will be happy to assist you with scheduling convenient appointments or help you with questions you may have about your dental care. She is also our Social Media coordinator, so make sure to say hi on Facebook! When not in the office you will find her spending time with her husband, Jeff, 2 daughters and 4 granddaughters, who are the light of her life. She enjoys gardening and having glue gun in hand for craft projects.

Kazlie, Patient Care Coordinator
Kazlie is our newest team member, in our Patient Care Coordinator position. She was born and raised in Ashland, Kentucky, and moved to Louisville in 2019. She graduated from the EDDA program at MedQuest College in June of 2021, and moved back to Eastern Kentucky to pursue her new career. Kazlie worked as an Oral Surgery assistant for a year before deciding to change gears and gain interest in office responsibilities. Kazlie’s husband, Coleman, was born and raised in Louisville. He is the inspiration of her moving back to Louisville in June 2022 and starting her new position here with us. Kazlie and Coleman have a son, Dakoda, as well as a box/lab puppy named Remmi. When she is not in the office, Kazlie enjoys painting, photography, traveling and reading.

Suzanne, Marketing/Design Specialist
Suzanne has been with the practice for 25 years. She is happily married to Dr. David and is our marketing/design specialist. She is a huge help with office promotion in the community and is involved in marketing the Schaefer Advanced Dentistry brand. She enjoys the outdoors, exercise and fitness and walking with her husband and dog.
Dawn, Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
Dawn has been working with Dr. John and Dr. David for a total of 32 years now. She is our lead expanded duties dental assistant. Patient care is her top priority. She says “I love my job and I love caring for, helping and educating our patients. I treat all of our patients like they are my family. Helping to create healthy/beautiful smiles and watching patients smile with confidence brings me so much joy.”
She lives in Shepherdsville with her husband of 35 years, Donnie. They have two grown children with growing families of their own now. Her daughter Danielle lives here in Louisville with two children, a son and a daughter. Her Son Lives in Washington (state) with two daughters. With 4 grandchildren now life can be very busy. She loves spending quality time outdoors camping with all of her family, swimming, hiking, baking, and going on long walks with their dog Dixie. And of course traveling out to Washington to see her Son and granddaughters.

Shennell, EDDA
Shennell is our newest member of our work family, with 18 years of experience practicing in Hawaii, Colorado and Kentucky. She continues to provide quality care to our patients. “I love helping people to be confident with their smile.”, she says. Shennell lives in Mount Washington with her husband of 11 years and their 3 handsome boys, Piko, Poiu and Noa. In her free time she loves spending time with her family, working out and being outside! Not to mention trips to her home Hawaii!!

Alyssa, EDDA
Alyssa is one of our newest team members with past experience in surgery at the Norton Main Pavilion. She is a newly certified EDDA, adding to our very professional assisting staff with Dr. Schaefer. She lives in Mount Washington with her fiancé of 7 years, High School sweethearts. They are getting married next April on the beach! They have two fur babies, Cash and Boone, that they love to walk and take to the park. Alyssa loves learning new things and continuing her education.
Missi, Registered Dental Hygienist
Missi started as a dental assistant nearly 28 years ago. She has worked as a hygienist with Schaefer Advanced Dentistry for 21 years. Her favorite part of hygiene is building relationships with our patients and helping them achieve and maintain excellent oral health. She is leading the team in the newest laser treatment techniques. She lives in Louisville with her husband, Josh and their 2 children , Laiken and Lane. In her free time, she enjoys her children’s sporting events, spending time with friends, walking her dog, Louise and eating good food.

Julie, Registered Dental Hygienist
Julie is our dental hygienist and has been with Dr. Schaefer for 20 years. She lives in Louisville with her husband, Mark, and has two grown daughters and two beautiful grandsons. Julie was a sales representative for Block Drug Pharmaceuticals for 6 years but missed the personal interaction with patients and returned to clinical practice in 2000. When asked what her favorite part of being a hygienist is she states, “I love every aspect of hygiene. I especially love educating my patients about oral health and knowing that I am helping people by providing a service that is important to their overall health.” In her spare time, Julie enjoys spending time with family, friends and making jewelry.

Michelle, Registered Dental Hygienist
Michelle has been treating patients for 6 years in South Carolina, Florida, Indiana, and most recently in Kentucky. Her favorite part of hygiene is making meaningful connections with patients and offering empirically researched, natural options for oral health. Michelle loves the outdoors, especially the beach, has a passion for cooking, traveling and exploring the world through her toddler’s eyes.
